What is the function of Care Apparel?
Care Apparel refers to specially designed functional clothing intended for those who have difficulty dressing or have special clothing needs, primarily serving the elderly, patients, and people with disabilities. The designs balance both functional and aesthetic requirements to support the wearer's physical and psychological well-being.
Main Target Users
1. Elderly
Older adults often struggle significantly with dressing due to muscle deterioration, stiff joints, or limited mobility — putting on a single garment can take ten to twenty minutes. Care Apparel uses special cuts and easy-on/off designs to help the elderly maintain their independence and dignity.
2. People with Disabilities
Individuals with physical disabilities or limited mobility — such as wheelchair users or those with restricted upper limb movement — need specially designed clothing. Examples include designs that conceal wheelchair safety belts or raised collars to cover neck misalignment, reducing unwanted stares from others and boosting social confidence.
3. Persons with Chronic Diseases
People undergoing treatment or rehabilitation — such as stroke survivors, fracture patients, or post-surgery recoverers — have limited physical mobility and require garments that are easy to manage and put on or take off.
Care Apparel not only helps the wearers themselves, but also benefits caregivers (family members or nursing staff). The special cuts make it much easier for caregivers to assist with dressing and undressing, significantly reducing physical strain and psychological burden, making home care or residential care far more manageable.
