District Elderly Community Centre (DECC)/ Neighbourhood Elderly Centre (NEC) is a type of community support services at district level to enable elderly persons to remain in the community and to lead a healthy, respectful and dignified life. DECCs/NECs also collaborate with other service units in the district and cooperate to build a caring community with better use of community resources.
The service provided by DECC/NEC are including educational and developmental activities, volunteer development, carer support services, educational and
supportive programmes on dementia, counselling services, reaching out and
networking, etc.
District Elderly Community Centre (DECC)/ Neighbourhood Elderly Centre (NEC) provide service according to the service boundaries by district.
