Through this 2-day certificate course, community paediatric physiotherapists may acquire additional knowledge, clinical skills and know-how of parallel social-motor developmental framework, physiotherapy strategic intervention, evidence-based practical application, etc. to enable effective assessment and treatment of ASD children.

Day 1 (Lecture)

• Clinical problems of children with ASD
• Parallel social-motor developmental training approach

• Assessment for ASD children
• Social motor function classification system for ASD (SMFCS-ASD)

Day 2 (Lecture and practicum)

• PT strategic intervention for ASD children
• 10 buttons to start interaction with ASD children
• Motor imitation training

PM Session:
• Application of TEACCH & SCERTS
• Remedial sports training
• Hydrotherapy
