AD/HD is a developmental disorder that is estimated to affect about 6% of school-aged children in Hong Kong. Their executive function is generally impaired affecting their attention, emotional regulation, impulse control, self-management, and daily performance at school and at home. OTs of Heep Hong Society have consolidated their clinical experience over the last decades, and worked out a systematic approach to OT intervention for children with AD/HD, improving their self-management and executive functions by adopting the “Person-Environment-Occupation (PEO)” model. Participants can obtain basic understanding of “self-management and executive function” and adopt a systematic approach to OT intervention for pre-school and junior primary school students with ADHD, their parents and teachers.
